Christmas at Good Shepherd
As we celebrate Christmas at Good Shepherd and the life of our savior Jesus Christ, we are overcome by the past year's blessings and are filled with gratitude for the lives transformed by your generosity.

Thanks to your support, Good Shepherd has:
-
Provided safe shelter and critical care to 63 women and children, providing over 8,200 nights of shelter.
-
Distributed 530 vouchers to our retail thrift stores to ensure homeless children and their families can access clothing and other essentials.
-
Helped 80% of our families transition to stable housing.

As we look forward to the coming year, we are also reminded about the unmet need for so many in our community.
We need your help to expand vital programs, including our top needs for the upcoming year:
-
Pathway to Wellness: Providing families with essential healthcare support, including access to affordable dental care, vision services like glasses, and critical mental health resources, ensuring every family can thrive in mind and body.
-
Transportation Support: Ensuring families can access appointments and resources with a dedicated vehicle.
-
Clothing Vouchers: Expanding the voucher program in our stores to support the 1500 children and their families classified as homeless in Loudoun County schools.

Your gift today will ensure we continue to meet the needs of vulnerable families while growing new initiatives to provide long-term stability and hope.
Together, we can build brighter futures and break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.

Good Shepherd Success Stories
Good Shepherd is one of the best things that ever happened to me. I have been hired as an Assistant Director at a local school, bought my first car, and moved into an apartment of my own.

[Staying at Good Shepherd] I was able to accomplish saving money and focusing on my goals. Good Shepherd has helped me stay positive about my situation. I was able to go to my job with a sense of relief that I had a place to live and not in the car or at a hotel. I was able to change my whole outcome and view on life

Because of Good Shepherd I know that God is with me and ordering my steps. I think of my room at the shelter as my war room because I was able to cry out to God, to talk to God and to pray to God. God strengthened me because I waited on him, and I know that he will continue to do so.

I was able to clean up my credit report and save money with the escrow account. I met nice people in my roommates – very lovely ladies.
